Find the Worst offenders for Blog Spam
For the past few weeks I have been playing around with Google’s Blogger, so that I can understand more how it all works, with the aim of writing a review on this blog software, so those Blogspotters, keep your open for a review soon.
Today’s, post is for those Wordpressers, and works great if you get a ton of SPAM like I do – last week I was away for four days and I came back to over 1,000 spam blog posts on this blog, thankfully Akismet, stopped all of this blog spam coming through.
An add-on for Askimet is a plugin which in addition to stopping spam also recognizes the worst offenders so that you can ban then from your site through Wordpress itself, where you can blacklist IP addresses to stop them coming and posting crap comments.
If you use Askimet then I recommend you download the Worst Offenders plugin.
