Promoting your Blog through Facebook
Today, I wanted to discuss a new way people from around the World are networking, and as I have mentioned before, networking with other bloggers and businesses is important to attract a strong readership.
In the past few weeks I have started to use Facebook, a social networking site that I am sure many of you have heard about. Primarily, you create a profile, and network with other face bookers in your local area, and within your profile you can add your blog address, and add your RSS feed so your friends can read your blog via Facebook.
What is good about Facebook is that you can create groups, and add your blog address on the group, and promote it so people join up. I’ve created a group called “Travel Addicts” and have linked to my travel blog from this group, but you can crate a group for your blogging niche.
It’s in it’s infancy with only 16 members, but I have received a few dozen visitors to my blog from Facebook since I started to promote my profile and group. They are tons of groups which you can join and participate in discussions.
Give it a try, and report back with your feedback.

I’ve had a little success doing that.
Have you done flyers at all? Those are next to worthless as far as click-thrus. They work alright though if you just want to get your name out there.
Flyers, I am doing marketing my main business with flyers, but its not a blog. I don’t think many people would promote a blog through flyers, but if it’s a specific niche that the general public would be interested in then it might be worth a try.
For example a blog about DIY.
I have added my feed to my facebook profile using a facebook app - check it out
