Have you thought about using your RSS feed to syndicate your blog posts on popular websites. I am sure you know of sites that are authorities within your niche so why not contact the site owner and ask them if they want free content to publish on their site.
It works for both parties because 1) you get traffic from the blog posts syndicated on the site, and 2) they receive free content that their readers and visitors will enjoy reading. An easy way to do this is use a functionality of Feedburner [I really do love the Feedburner gang!] where they can easily add a plugin on their site which basically displays your latest posts.
BuzzBoast where you can promote your RSS feed in HTML pages
Headline Animator where your blog post titles are displayed
SpringWidgets allows your feed content to go anywhere on the web you or others may put a snippet of HTML
Just sign up to Feedburner, it is free so you have no excuse.
Okay, you might get some companies not interested in promoting your blog posts, but my motto in life is “if you don’t ask you don’t get”. Nowadays everyone is looking for free content and if companies can get hold of it easily and cheaply then I am sure they will go for it with open arms.
Give it a try and report back with any successes.

It’s just a pity that Feedburner is so buggy and flaky. I use a desktop-based feed reader, and have long noticed that the sites whose feeds load unreliably and slowly (very! slowly!) are those using FB. Then, too, I use FB for site stats, and have noticed internal discrepancies in the numbers reported on a number of occasions (though not as many as Technorati).
All-in-all it doesn’t inspire confidence.
I too use a desktop RSS reader, but for promoting your feed Feedburner is the best. Unless you can tell us of alternatives?
