So, we have a blog, and whilst we love writing, we want to earn an income to pay the hosting bills at a minimum. They are tons of revenue sources but it’s finding the right one which is difficult.
A lot of revenue sources rely on high traffic, which this blog is not yet – anyway I want readers to choose two revenue sources from this list.
- Clicksor
- Text Link Ads
- Bidvertiser
- AdBrite
What revenue sources have worked for you?
Personally, I don’t think any of these will generate the type of income I want to generate from this blog in three months, and I’m not a big lover of Adsense, because I think bloggers are internet savvy and ignore these ads.
So, leave a comment with the preferred revenue source from the list above, and the sources voted the most I’ll get the ads live as soon as possible. I’m also researching other types of revenue sources, but I can’t divulge that information until the finer details are sorted.

Don’t forget about LinkWorth! You don’t have to have high traffic to publish our ads and you name our own price….fyi.
Best of luck!
Thanks Matt. I have signed up to Linkworth and will write a review on the blog once I’ve had a few weeks experience of using your service.
I’ve found that adsense works or sites that are built for people that aren’t techie or net savvy. But all other groups of people ignore it.
I have had some luck with TextLinkAds, but I have not tried any of the others. Let me know what you chose.
Richard, I’d agree with you. I tried adsense on my travel blog and earnt a nice amount for a few months, but chose not to continue because it made the blog look messy.
Nenad, I think TLA is probably something I am going to try first.
I’ll be reviewing each revenue source.
TLA and sponsored reviews have performed very well for our network (Know More Media). AbBrite, not so much. Haven’t tried Clicksor or Bidvertiser. Looking into Text Link Brokers.
Good PageRank and high inbound link counts really help you get paid more with TLA and sponsored review posts.
Direct ad deals are typically the most lucrative but also the most time-consuming to find. It’s a trade-off for sure.
Thanks Easton.
I have to say your right about direct ads, and I’ve had success with this on my travel blog, but companies will only advertise if you have 1) good PageRank and 2) good traffic.
