Will Promoting a Blog via Video Work?
Well, it was fun creating this video – I’m not sure how effective this type of marketing is going to be, but it was worth the try. Basically, what I have done is taken screenshots of the various blogs, and added some music, and uploaded to You Tube.
Let me know you opinion, could you see this type of promotion being successful?

Very cool Darren. I am not sure about it being successful, but I do think it would generate a few hits from those curious enough to visit the sites in the video!
Colleen, I agree, I think it would bring very few visitors in, but its worth a try. I’ve just checked and it’s had 25 visits so far.

I’m not sure how well this will work for the collage of blogs, but perhaps if one blogger had a catchy little video that they could tag on a the URL for their blog, I could see it driving a little bit of traffic. We’ll see how it goes.
Well the video has had 56 views via You Tube [not on the blog] so someone is finding it haha the problem being because people have to remember the URL you would be best concentrating on one blog within the video, which I might look at testing.
To put it in comparison with my other video I loaded a day earlier, its only had 10 visits, and is probably something that would be more searchable, i.e. travel.
