The stats for the past week show us that you have to actively promote your blog by networking with other bloggers, participate in communities by helping other members. Yesterday; I didn’t promote the blog, and today’s stats are reflecting that.

I’m pleased with the start – especially since I’ve not officially started the project and both blog comments and RSS subscriptions have increased in the past week.

To take away some of that pressure of promoting the blog daily, we will need to look at optimising the blog for the search engines, and by writing unique content, we’ll start to find people linking to the blog and content.

Over the next few days I am going to step up the promotion of the blog, and also look at how I can start to earn an income from it. On Monday, I am going to post some targets for the project so that we have a measurement of success [or failure]
