Performancing.com Sell their Soul to Pay per Post

Performancing.com Sell their Soul to Pay per Post Happy New Year! Sorry about my lack of blog posts in the last week, it’s been a hectic week, but I’ve finally had the opportunity to put fingers to keyboard. I’m disappointed that Performancing.com has sold themselves out to Pay per Post.

The Metrics feature, for those who haven’t used it, is an excellent blog analysis tool, which allows you to view the usual stats, plus stats like most popular categories, or most popular blog posts etc.

Pay per Post has bought Performancing because of the massive client base, and it’ll increase their traffic, revenue and the number of bloggers who will either advertise or use Pay per Post. You can read this blog entry by Ted, of Pay per Post about the acquisition of Performancing.com – it looks like it’ll remain a separate branding, away from Pay per Post – but for how long?

What is your opinion on this decision – do you think that they have done the right thing?

  1. Business and the right thing are not the same thing. I am sure it was a good deal for those concerned and in the end business is about making money, not doing the right thing.
