Advice on finding Link Love

Advice finding some Link LoveThe likes of Google want to see that you are adding fresh, unique content, and visitors to your website will only link to you if your content is useful for their visitors.

I’ve found it difficult to get people to link to my main business because it’s offering a service, and doesn’t really offer the visitor quality content to link to – unless they wanted to link to a villa or apartment they have stayed in.

So, if you have a website which promotes a product or offers a service, what can you do to get people linking to you. In the past you will have concentrated on reciprocating links and buying links on other websites.

Building links to your website is a pain in the arse to be honest, and the best way to do this is doing something you enjoy and in return increasing links to your website. Here’s a few examples of how you could increase links:

Create your own Website template or blog theme – add a link to the bottom of the theme, and make sure that people who download your theme, adhere to keeping the link there. Over time as more people use your theme, the more links to your website you’ll receive

Design a useful Tool

Get someone to design a tool that would be of benefit to your visitors, i.e. a tool which a webmaster could include on their own forum or blog, and it includes a link back to your website, this would attract more people to your website.

Create a Blog

Either on the same domain or create a new domain, and write your own unique content (like I am doing here) or get someone to write the content for you. Add videos from YouTube, images from Flickr, and before you know it you’ll have people linking to this useful resource

  1. Great tips dude, thanks, I’ll use these myself

  2. It seems easy, yet difficult to do.

    Anyway, good tips to follow!

  3. I would also suggest to create a links page which insists that to trade links, the other website must put your link up first and send you the page where your link is before you will add his/her link. I say this because I receive tons of link requests. I end up adding the website’s link and never hear back from them with my reciprical link.
