Wordpress Themes Installation Guide
The very talented Colleen at Kalina Web Designs has created some very attractive looking Wordpress themes for those of you that use Wordpress as your blog platform. My favourite is the Solemn Orange theme, which is eye catching and is very easy to navigate around.
Another useful resource for Wordpress themes is the official Wordpress theme browser which has tons of themes available to view and then download. If your fed up of the default theme, then it is very easy to implement a new one.
Simply follow these instructions
1. Download the theme – most of the themes will be a .zip file
2. Extract the zip file contents to your desktop
3. FTP the theme to the wp-content/themes/ folder
4. Login to the Wordpress dashboard and click on ‘Presentation’
5. Click on the link at the top of the theme image
6. Finished – view your new look blog and tailor to your own requirements
Make sure you keep all copyright links within the blog theme, but you can easily change the header.php, footer.php and sidebar.php to suit your own requirements – all of these files can be found in the theme folder that you have uploaded.
