Promote your blog in National newspapers
Yes, it is possible to get your blog promoted in National newspapers, but you need to write unique, interesting content for it to be picked up by the media. I’ve had my travel blog promoted in the likes of the Washington Post, San Antonio Express, and The Metro newspapers, it didn’t cost me a penny, and I received tons of visitors.

Yeah, that could work… I’d be interested to see what sort of ROI you would get from it. I know that by attracting new users to blogging, you could score yourself some very brand loyal followers - however you need to be sure that your site will attract that sort of audience in the first place.
Robert, you would be investing is time and effort, but not money, so there would not be anything really to return. I have managed to get my blog listed on national newspapers, and not spend anything in the form of advertising.
Like you mention it depends on your content, and if the newspaper audiance are going to be interested in it - writing about search engines will not be interesting for newspaper readers, but writing about technology or travel will be.

I’ve always dreamt of appearing in our local newspapers for something good and congratulatory and not appear as one of the dead girls in some sort of freak accident.
